LIFE LINE By Robert Ellsworth (STF)

LIFE LINE By Robert Ellsworth

Two strangers, an affluent, middle-aged divorcee and a sardonic, gay Mexican American stylist, volunteer at a West Hollywood suicide hotline without any guidance. In this claustrophobic setting, they are forced to fend for themselves, performing a duty for which neither of them is qualified. They clash--of ideology, class and race/sexuality-- but despite their ostensible contrasts, they somehow find an intimacy between them and must tackle an increasingly dire phone calls as well as their own existential crisis. Memory colors the present and forges the future.
